We’re looking for the next Steven Spielberg—right here in Houston!
Our Special Effects & Filmmaking camps have been a favorite since the very beginning, introducing kids to the science and creativity behind movie magic. In our stop-motion and special effects camps, campers explore animation, model building, special effects makeup, and the process of creating their own short films. Along the way, they’ll also discover how chemistry plays a role in bringing cinematic effects to life.
Campers dive into the history of special effects—from early silent films to classics like King Kong and modern claymation favorites like Chicken Run—while learning hands-on techniques they can use in their own creations.
